Often times it is easy to get caught up in our busy lifestyles and to neglect to see what is all around us. A few weeks ago on our day off my husband and I took our dogs out for our daily walk. This activity is usually up and down our busy neighborhood road and can sometimes be frustrating avoiding traffic but since we were off we decided to drive five minutes away to Sequim Bay State park to enjoy something different. To our delight when we walked out onto the pier and looked down there were hundreds of jellyfish gliding slowly by. Not too far away a seal was popping in and out of the water having a look at us and our dogs. We were transported from a day of chores and monotony to a magical land where we were like children again, thrilled and mesmerized by the wildlife that was just minutes away from home. It was a true reminder of the magic that is all around us and if we just take the time to stop and look, to hear, to smell and to touch, the natural world is right there touching us back. I urge you to take some time today, this week, right now if you can, to go outside to gets some fresh air, put your hands in the dirt and find the magic that is waiting to find you.
